Members of the St Francis of Assisi, Erin Parish community gathered September 20 for a Parish Assembly focused on strengthening unity, deepening its mission and looking towards the future of the parish.
In a message following the gathering, parish priest Fr Kizito Ameloko VC expressed gratitude to parishioners who participated and openly shared their thoughts and experiences. He also thanked those who worked behind the scenes in planning and organising the Assembly.
Special appreciation was extended to facilitators from various parishes within the Southern Vicariate, who assisted participants in reflecting on the mission and future direction of the parish.
Fr Ameloko said the Assembly served as a reminder that the parish is “not simply a place we come to; it is a community to which we belong and for which we are all responsible.”
He expressed hope that the fruits of the Assembly would strengthen unity, renew commitment and inspire parishioners to work together in building a vibrant and faith-filled community.
