Wednesday, September 2nd: Jesus is in the house!

“And he arose out of the synagogue and entered into Simon’s house.”

Luke 4:38-44

See what happens when Jesus is in the house! There is healing, ministering, teaching, deliverance, believing, insight, revaluation and witnessing.

Lord, please stay with us and grant us strong faith to do as you do and withdraw to pray. We too will be prepared to represent you with love, healing words, kind acts of charity, compassion, and forgiveness in all that we do.

Let us not be quiet but let us do what we are meant to do; that is, to be witnesses to the transformative power that our encounter with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has in our lives.

Let us share the good news of God’s kingdom wherever we are: while waiting in line with a simple “Peace be with you” or “God bless you.” While at home let us live in love, serving the Lord, devoted to one another. (As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Josh 24:15) And when challenged let us trust that there is power in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
