Matthew 10: 24 – 33
In Trinidad, plenty of us spend energy worrying about what people saying, what people thinking, and whether we measuring up. We wonder if we are doing enough, giving enough, or somehow falling short.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds His disciples that following Him will not always win approval. If He faced criticism and rejection, they should not be surprised when they do too.
But He does not leave them there. Instead, He says, “Do not be afraid.”
Not because life will be easy, but because their value does not come from the crowd. It comes from God. You do not have to earn your worth. You already matter to God.
Jesus reminds us that God sees what others miss. He knows our struggles, our hopes, our intentions, and our hearts. Nothing about us escapes His notice.
In a world that can make us feel small, forgotten, or not enough, that is a powerful truth.
