“Come to me all you who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11: 25-30
In my life’s journey I have come to realize that God, who is love and mercy, wants only what is good for His children. Many of the choices I have made have been outside the will of God and therefore life was painful, difficult, hard, burdensome.
By accepting the invitation and promise, “Come to me all you who labour and are heavily burdened and I will give you rest,” God allowed me to set aside the thoughts, words, and deeds, that separated me from Him and to come to experience who God is. Among so many things, He is my anchor, the lifter of my head. In allowing God to guide my thoughts, words and deeds, life’s journey is much lighter and though challenges and difficulties still abound, I give it all to Him.
Eternal Father, thank you for your unending love and mercy, thank you for taking all my burdens unto yourself and allowing me to rest in your loving embrace, for I know that nothing is impossible for you. Amen.
