Malabar RC Primary celebrates 75

After eight years, under the guidance of new leadership and a strengthened relationship between church and school, Malabar RC Primary recently marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 75th anniversary with a vibrant sports and family day.

The event brought together students who proudly represented their respective houses: Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz. The atmosphere was electric as families and friends gathered to witness the impressive march-past, showcasing the spirit and unity of the school community. Each house was further enlivened by the presence of queens and mascots, adding a festive flair to the proceedings.

The competition was fierce, with the queen of the Sapphire house emerging as winner, while Ruby house claimed victory in the overall games. Topaz house, known for its exceptional team spirit, triumphed in the tug of war, demonstrating the strength of collaboration and camaraderie, while Sapphire capped the winning prize for most disciplined house.

The day was filled with a range of emotions, from joyous laughter to heartfelt tears, as participants and supporters alike celebrated not just the victories but the courage to participate and give their best effort.

Parents and well-wishers added to the colourful atmosphere by donning outfits in the respective house colours of green, red, blue, and yellow, creating a sea of support that was both visually striking and emotionally uplifting.

Ultimately, the event transcended mere competition; it was a celebration of community, resilience, and the shared journey of growth.

In the end, every participant was a winner, as the true essence of the day lay in the spirit of daring to try and the bonds forged through shared experiences.

As the school reflects on its rich history and achievements over the past three-quarters of a century, the sports day served as a fitting tribute to its enduring legacy and commitment to excellence in education and athletics.
