I pray for a forgiving heart.
Mathew 5: 1 – 12
I need God to help me live the Beatitudes. I find it difficult to not worry. I have to remember that I must rely on God. Lord, please make me poor in Spirit.
I need help with all of the Beatitudes, especially meekness. I have to remember to be gentle and humble in my dealings with my fellow men.
I believe the virtue, with which I struggle the most, is forgiveness. I know in my brain that I should show mercy to those who offend me. I try, I really try, as we say in Trinidad and Tobago: ‘Ah try hard’ but try as I may, I cannot understand some behaviours. I pray for a forgiving heart.
We are blessed that we are not persecuted for our religion, and I thank God for that. I pray for all the people who are ridiculed for being practicing Christians.
I am trying.
