Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone?’
Mark 12:1-12
There was a season when I felt completely discarded. Overlooked. Like a piece that didn’t quite fit the design. I was stuck! Creatively, emotionally, spiritually but the worst part? I felt guilty for feeling that way. I am supposed to be a woman of faith! I am not supposed to feel broken. But I did.
I felt rejected by opportunities that I chased, by doors that wouldn’t open, by versions of myself I kept trying to force into spaces that were never built for me. The sadness was quiet but heavy. The kind you smile through on Sunday morning.
But all I can tell you is this: what feels like loss in the moment is often God clearing space for something so much greater that, and I promise you that one day, you will look back and thank Him for every closed door.
If you’re in that stuck, sad, in-between place right now don’t you dare throw away the stone. Experience it. There is a blessing there! You might be looking at your cornerstone.
