Thursday May 21st: Called to Sacred Communion

“Father may they all be one.”

John 17: 20-26

In today’s Gospel, Jesus prays not only for His disciples, but for all who will come to believe in Him. His deepest desire is unity: “That they may all be one.” This unity is rooted in God’s love and revealed through Christ’s sacrifice.

In a world often divided by fear, pride, and misunderstanding, Jesus reminds us that Christian life is never meant to be lived in isolation. We are called to reflect God’s love through forgiveness, compassion, and communion with one another. Jesus also assures us that we are loved by the Father just as He is loved.

This profound truth invites us to live with hope, dignity, and peace, becoming visible signs of God’s presence in our families, communities, and Church. Jesus calls us to Sacred Communion with one another.
