“Ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.”
John 14:7-14
Everyday I pass by Miss Merle, I watching she Julie mango tree cut eye. Julie all on de ground and Miss Merle eh offer me one yet ….and me and Miss Merle good eh! So last week I see she bring ah bag ah mango for Miss Lucy, so I brace she! Ah say, so why yuh never bring no mango fuh me, girl? She say, “Well, yuh never ask!”
I feel like that is we with God.
Jesus made a promise so clear, so direct, it was almost embarrassing. “Ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.” Not “let me check my schedule.” Not “we go see.” He said, He will do it.
And we out here suffering in silence.
The bible is the truth yuh know. Jesus’s word is also truth. So, when we don’t bring our needs, our dreams, our worries before Him, we aren’t being humble. We are leaving a gold mine locked up because we are too proud, too doubtful, or too busy to ask.
You didn’t get it because you didn’t ask.
So, ask!
