“They saw Jesus walking on the water drawing near to the boat.”
John 6:16-21
It was so comforting reading this Gospel this morning. So often Jesus comes walking on the rough seas of our lives when it is still dark.
I was involved in a multi car accident during Holy Week, and these accidents are usually contentious with insurance companies. So, with a third-party policy and a banged in rear, it is still dark and the sea is rough. I pray that Jesus will calm the sea and get us to land.
I think of persons getting news of serious illness, those facing financial difficulties, and others with broken relationships. They also need Jesus to appear in their lives.
As we start the Easter season as resurrected people let us pray and live in joyful hope that he will calm our seas, enter our barques and lead us safely to land.
