Health—where the effort is worth it.
I’m no big fan of exercise. All that muscle work and working out—ouch, painful! Tiring!
But I’m no fan of health complications and pains either from lack of activity.
That’s why I’m saying: find what works for you.
Now is the right time to start getting active. Be it through sports, the gym, walking or hiking, swimming, dancing, yoga, anything as long as you’re moving. Get the blood flowing.
Our health is our wealth and if we don’t take care of ourselves, we may not be able to do much else either.
Today’s culture has ingrained into us that we need to be productive. We need to lock in and when it’s time for a break, social media. Scroll on whichever app because now all of them have short form content to scroll on and then after that, more work.
Somehow sleep isn’t worth it anymore.
But we really need to lock in on our health. I’m not an expert on this so I can’t recommend the right amount of sleep, exercise or healthy food. But I can encourage you to research and implement it.
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” (WHO Constitution 1948)
Taking care of ourselves is only the right thing to do as we were given our bodies which are temples of God and we should remember to keep them standing. Standing through exercise, the right foods and adequate sleep. Take care of yourself!
