Gloria Saturday
Rejoice and raise your voice in thanksgiving for the empty tomb!
Matthew 28: 1-10
What an awesome experience to witness. Hurry with fear! Despite our doubt and uncertainty, he rose from the dead like he said he would. From his life, teaching, and resurrection we cannot now deny that he could love a deplorable sinner like me, die on a cross to demonstrate that love, then rise from the dead to return to the Father to prepare a place for me.
Hurry with great joy! He is risen as he said he would and continues to show his victory over death by appearing to us.
Like the women, we too should hurry to tell everyone what we experienced this Lent. Did we see him? Did we hear that he loves us and wants us to live? Did we feel his presence as we journeyed?
Jesus was raised from the dead and left an empty tomb, let us also leave our sinful nature in the tomb. Rejoice and raise your voice in thanksgiving for the empty tomb! We are now redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb and our sins are forgiven.
Lord, please make us disciples that you’ll be proud of.
