Judas ent is you who join Jesus ministry
Playing yuh want to do good and uplift yourself spiritually
While secretly you undermined the leader
Talking behind His back with them Pharisee.
Judas say, Not I surely!
And who only wanted what they could get
Using the church for yuh own little net
Ignoring all the graces and miracles performed
Seeking to plot for your own reform
Who me? Not I surely!
Walking up in communion lines
Drinking from the same cup as you and I
Secretly plotting the Master’s defeat
Who is the Darnel growing up among the wheat?
Me? No. Not I surely!!
Judas Iscariot resisted what Jesus offers to us all
Eternal life if we answer His call
He wanted a life of Palm Sunday pomp and ceremony
Not a life of service and charity
Remove the scales Lord, so I can see
So much mercy pouring out to me
When posed with the question
“Which among you will betray Me?”
May my answer truthfully be
Not I Lord, not I, not I surely!
