“It is better for you that one man should die.”
John 11:45-56
This is really the story of all of us. Too often, we reject what is right because we fear change, loss of status, or stepping into the unknown. It is easier to cling to what is familiar than to embrace a truth that calls us to transform.
The people around Jesus saw the good He was doing, yet many were still offended and unsettled. Instead of celebrating His works, they grew uneasy. Caiaphas, driven by his own motives, even justified eliminating Jesus, saying, “It is better that one man die than the whole nation be destroyed.”
And the truth is, even now, you and I face this same choice. Will we allow truth to shape and change us, or will we resist it to protect our comfort? Growth requires surrender; letting go of pride, control, and fear. Whether it means admitting we are wrong, choosing forgiveness, or standing firm in faith despite opposition, the path of truth is rarely the easiest. But it is always the most meaningful.
