Final opportunity to purchase book for ‘33-Day Journey to Dedication’

The Archdiocese is preparing to launch a 33-day spiritual initiative inviting Catholics to deepen their devotion to the Eucharist through prayer, reflection and community engagement.

The programme, titled a ‛33-Day Journey to Dedication,’ will begin on May 2 and culminate on June 4, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Organisers describe the effort as a coordinated movement of prayer across parishes, families and communities, centred on personal and collective spiritual renewal.

Participants are encouraged to follow the journey using the book How to Be His: A 33 Day Dedication to Our Eucharistic Jesus, co-authored by Fr Jesse Maingot OP and Fr Ignatius Schweitzer OP.

To support the initiative, the book will be made available for a limited time at a reduced cost of approximately TT$40 through online orders. Interested persons can place orders via the Archdiocese’s website, catholictt.org, with a deadline of Monday, March 23 to facilitate printing and distribution. Books purchased through this process will be collected at designated distribution points after April 20.

While the publication remains available internationally at standard retail cost through online retailers, organisers note that locally subsidised copies are limited to those who order within the specified timeframe. A small number of copies will also be stocked at select Catholic bookshops for those unable to purchase online.

Parishes are being encouraged to pre-register participants and coordinate bulk orders, including the option to purchase cases containing 50 copies. Community sponsorship is also being promoted, allowing parishioners to contribute towards making the books accessible to others.

Updates and additional information throughout the 33-day period will be provided on the Archdiocese’s website.
