God sees not only our needs but the fears behind them, the sleepless nights, the hidden tears, the quiet longing for relief.
Mark 7: 31 – 37
Today’s gospel highlights the people who bring someone to Jesus. They rush to Him the moment He returns. Their urgency speaks of love, worry, and helplessness. They carry the weight of someone they love. They cannot fix the problem themselves, yet they cannot stop hoping. That is what faith often looks like: anxious, desperate, but trusting enough to place our burdens before Christ.
To be “anxious for Jesus” is to be restless, to not settle for anything less than His healing presence. It is the kind of faith that watches for Him, searches for Him, and refuses to give up. Jesus does not ignore this kind of anxiety. He responds with tenderness. God sees not only our needs but the fears behind them, the sleepless nights, the hidden tears, the quiet longing for relief.
This gospel invites us to have that same urgency for Christ: to desire, seek, and bring to Him everything and everyone we love, trusting that when our anxiety meets His compassionate heart, grace follows.
