Sunday February 8th: All this light we cannot see

“You are light for the world.”

Matthew 5:13-16

Open your eyes and see while you can
For darkness will soon come

You are light
No less than the trees and the stars
The forests and the oceans
You are born to be light
You are called to light-up dark places
Every cell of your body and soul emits light

Light shines best in darkness
Don’t waste your batteries in a brightly lit room where it is safe and secure and frequented by many other light-minded people
Too much dazzling and wasted wattage
And then there is all this light we cannot see

Go in search of the darkness
Your light will brighten the lives of others because here light matters
Here people yearn to see

The people who walk in darkness has seen a great light:
In this light we see
Those who need light don’t discriminate where the light comes from
They not fussy
Light is light
True light from true light
The source of all kindness
Light that is immaculately conceived
Glowing embers of an enlightened and compassionate soul
The Lord is my light; I am light; you are light.
