Calming Troubled Waters is a conversation-based series that navigates the turbulent currents of our uncertain times, exploring social, emotional, geopolitical, and global realities.
True to its name, the series helps viewers and participants “calm troubled waters” by creating spaces for reflection, shared experiences, thoughtful discussion, and practical guidance on navigating uncertainty, drawing on personal experience, professional expertise, and spiritual perspectives, all within a trauma-informed framework.
Each episode features moderated conversations with guest speakers, highlighting diverse perspectives and lived experiences while encouraging constructive engagement with the challenges we face locally and globally.
The programme intentionally adopts a trauma-informed lens, welcoming both expert mental health insight and the empirical realities of people from varying walks of life, recognising that healing and understanding are shaped by both professional knowledge and lived experience.
By grounding discussions in empathy, care, and insight, the series offers audiences a chance to pause, reflect, and find clarity amid complexity.
To date, two episodes have been released:
Episode 1: An exploration on how individuals and communities are managing the emotional and social impact of rapid change and uncertainty, with panellists sharing personal experiences and insights on navigating this time.
Episode 2: A focus on the voices of youth, addressing the pressures they face in today’s world and the support systems that help them navigate personal, social, and global challenges.
Both episodes are available for viewing on Trinity TV’s online platforms.
