Saturday January 17th: Being with Jesus means change

“ Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

Mark 2:13 -17

Jesus, the historical figure, influenced more than half of the world in His time, and during the past two thousand years continue to influence more than fifty percent of the world in any age.

What accounts for this tremendous influence over people’s life? The answer is the Holy Spirit, who is always present with Jesus. By spending time with Jesus, we are changed more and more into His likeness.

Jesus came for the sick, not the well. This gives all of us hope, that we can spend time with Jesus and He will do His work in our lives. Meditation is one of the most powerful ways to spend time with Jesus.

Today, let us begin by simply spending time with Jesus, meditating, saying the word, “Maranatha” and by being still for twenty minutes. Doing this each day will change our lives.
