The Parish of St Philip and St James, Chaguanas, closed off their Jubilee 2025 events on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with the closing of a time capsule that detailed the parish activities of the Jubilee Year.
At the end of the 8.30 a.m. Mass, Parish Priest Fr Steve Ransome signed and placed the last card into the time capsule before closing it.
In a short procession from the Sanctuary led by Jasmin Mathura, Parish Liturgical Co-ordinator and a member of the Jubilee Team, the time capsule was taken to the Elijah Cave, an Adoration room adjacent to the parish office where it will be properly housed for the next 25 years.
Fr Ransome thanked all for their part in making the Jubilee celebration a success, especially the Jubilee Team for their hard work and dedication and for putting together a wonderful review of the year in photos displayed on two large monitors as their final act.
In the time capsule are: The Jubilee Prayer; names of Jubilee Team members; names of all volunteers; tickets from pilgrimages attended; a volunteer badge; a stamp from Sacred Site, Tortuga; a ticket from St Cecilia Sounds of Hope (Feast of St Cecilia) celebration; and names of all parishioners from Chaguanas parish.
