‘He remembers his holy covenant’

Luke 1:67-79

How blessed are we that the Lord, the God of Israel, has visited us and has come to our rescue!

As we wait in expectant hope to celebrate the birth of Jesus,

I pray, Oh God, may you bring joy and peace to our expectant souls.

Thank you for your faithfulness and for remembering the covenant you made with us.

For we wrestle with the enemy of our souls. We ask, O Lord, bring light to the areas in our lives where traumas have become strongholds.

Lord, teach us how to surrender all our battles to you, because when the battle is yours, the victory will surely be ours.

Thank you for your tender mercy, for giving us the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of our sins.

Lord, I pray in this season of Christmas that you will give light to all of us who walk in darkness and guide our feet into the way of peace. Amen
