Surrender and Starting Afresh

What’s the connection with surrender and starting afresh?

There’s resistance that usually comes with surrender and starting afresh. And with both the resistance comes from the same place.

To let go of anything that we are accustomed to, usually takes a lot. It begins with the thought and all the insecurities that accompany the thought.

The biggest challenge therein is moving from thought to action.

Many people who have been part of a true surrender journey will describe the gaps between the thought and the actual moments and will further recall what each emotion felt like.

These gaps though, can become steppingstones when we are discouraged, because we get an opportunity to regroup each time and, like a rubber band, the more it is stretched, the further we will reach.

And then, like Lamentations 3:22-23,  the significance of starting afresh comes not only with renewed muscle and a greater fitness level, it becomes an easier thing to do as any season presents itself.

Are you ready to surrender?
