Faith without works is dead: Be not only hearers but doers of the word.
Mathew 7:21; 24-27
We must live lives that bear witness to the faith we profess. First, we allow the words of scripture to be rooted in our hearts and minds. Then, with hearts aflame, we bear witness by our lives.
In my own faith journey, I experience drawing deeper from the well of faith through a cycle of professing my faith in Jesus and acting on my professions. There is never a shortage of opportunities to “put my money where my mouth is” as the saying goes.
The more I become a doer of the word, the more my faith and relationship with God deepens. Whilst never easy, I face the fierce winds with confidence as I stand on the Rock of Jesus Christ and His Church.
In these turbulent times, amidst the flood of uncertainty, let us extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one by becoming doers and not merely hearers of THE WORD.
