History was made at Pallotti High School as 18 students were officially inducted into the school’s first-ever Campus Ministry Group, “marking a significant milestone in the institution’s sixty-eight-year history,” stated a report from The Christian Herald.
The diocesan monthly said that the induction ceremony began with a special Mass celebrated by Fr Jeremy Zipple SJ, and was attended by parents, staff, and members of the school administration.
Under the leadership of Sr Clara Teul and a team of dedicated moderators, the new Campus Ministry Group has already established its mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Their plans for the school year include a variety of spiritual and community activities such as retreats, community service projects, visits to the elderly and homebound, and opportunities for Confession.
One of the group’s first major activities was a pilgrimage to San Roman Rio Hondo in the Orange Walk District, where members visited Belize’s first Catholic Church, founded in 1913. “This experience deepened their appreciation for the country’s Catholic heritage and inspired them to continue their spiritual journey with renewed faith,” the article said.
It stated that the school community has expressed pride and support for the new ministry, viewing it as a vital step toward strengthening the spiritual life of Pallotti High School.
