Wednesday November 5th: Know What Yuh Signing Up For

When we put Jesus first, everything else starts to fall into place.

Luke 14:25-33

In this passage, Jesus makes it clear that following Him is not a halfway thing. He’s telling us straight — know wat yuh signing up for. He wants to be first in our lives, even before family, comfort, or the plans we’re holding on to.

That’s not always easy for us in Trinidad and Tobago where family is sacred and we love our sweet life. But He isn’t saying to abandon anyone — He’s saying our love for Him should shape how we love everyone else. Just like how you’d plan carefully before building a house or make sure your costume ready before hitting the road, being a disciple takes intention and sacrifice.

Carrying your cross might mean forgiving when you’d rather stay vex, trusting when fear louder, or choosing love when pride talking. But when we put Jesus first, everything else starts to fall into place. And the life He builds with us is deeper, stronger, and always worth the cost!
