Surrender will support you! Take the chance!

Surrender is such an interesting expression of freedom. However, we are sometimes afraid to accept the invitation to surrender, only because we are afraid of being isolated or abandoned.

These might just be a few ways to describe some of the fears that are both indirectly and directly related to surrendering. But believe in the power of taking that chance and, in surrendering fearlessly and openly, surrender will support you!

Many years ago, during one of my many moments of being totally steeped in the unfailing belief of God’s loving care, I stepped into another dimension of my purpose, path and profession. Was this a true act of surrender? Yes, it was, and it was at a very critical time in my professional journey and at a time when my career had many perceived certainties.

Was I afraid? No! I relied on many of the faithful promises that God had already shared with me as I was making these plans, and I knew what I knew—without really knowing.

Here’s what I knew!

1. I knew when God articulated and orchestrated my new season.

2. I knew when there was a shift in my desires to serve humanity differently

3. I knew when there was doubt from those who cared that God would also be framing my certainty by many experiences and reminders.

And with those three moments of reassurance, I was again placed in a zone of comfort—a certainty in times of doubt. Here’s what I know…..
