In a bold and joyful act of evangelisation, over 50 young Catholics from across Trinidad gathered August 23 for ‘Proclaim’—a youth-led initiative that took them from church pews to the hilltops, and finally to an encounter with the elderly.
It began at St John the Baptist RC Church, St Augustine. The Office of Youth Ministry brought together musicians and vocalists to rehearse and record a jubilee anthem. A total of 19 parishes were represented including youth from every vicariate in the Archdiocese, united by song and service.
After recording at the church, the group performed at the Mt St Benedict sports field, then sang and danced their way uphill to St Peter’s Home for the Aged where they performed for residents.
The Proclaim performance was filmed by Catholic Media Services Ltd with support from Kristian Luces Productions, and a music video is expected to be released soon.
