“So, stay awake, because you do not know the day when your master is coming.”
Matthew 24:42-51
Be prepared. Be alert. Be diligent to continue to do as Jesus said: ‘To love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind (this is the first and great commandment) and the second is to love your neighbour as yourself. Remember that on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
If we persevere, guard our hearts, and do what is requested, we can rest assured that it will not matter what day or time the Lord decides to return to the earth or call you from the earth. You will be prepared to meet Him, with eagerness as you bask in his presence and glory.
No one wants to be dismissed from God’s presence or “cut asunder” and sent where there are hypocrites with weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Lord, strengthen our love for You and for our neighbours and enable us to be faithful and wise servants as we continue to do your will. Amen.
