First Communion at St Joseph

On Sunday, July 6, during the 8.30 a.m. Mass, 26 young children got food for their souls when they received the Body and Blood of Jesus in the Eucharist from parish priest Fr Alan Hall, at the St Joseph RC Church, St Joseph. The group included 10 children from the St Joseph Boys’ RC School and 16 children from the St Joseph parish.

Dressed in the traditional white dress and veils for the girls and crisp white shirts and black trousers for the boys, they were all eager to receive the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time.

The boys and girls actively participated in the readings, intercessory prayers, collection and presentation of gifts.
