“Martha, Martha,’ he said, “you worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one.”
Luke 10:38-42
Sometimes we get so caught up with all the things we have to do and the protocols to be observed that we miss the value and beauty of the moment.
Lord, please help us to strike a balance between the Martha and Mary within us. Help us to prioritize our time spent with you as we ‘sit at your feet.’ Calm our thoughts and help us to develop a closer and more intimate relationship with you so we can recognize the opportunities to learn and discern that the lessons that are shared in the moment are meant to feed our souls as we serve.
Lord, help us to listen to your teachings that are meant to guide us through this life and let the takeaway be to keep close to you so we can serve others as you intended us to, until we meet face to face. Amen.
