Why are you afraid, you of little faith?
Matthew 8: 23 – 27
In this passage, we see Jesus calming the storm while His disciples panic.
How often do we, like them, cry out in fear when life’s troubles rise like angry waves? Whether it’s economic pressure, illness, or family struggles, we know what it means to feel overwhelmed. Yet, this Gospel reminds us: Jesus is in the boat with us. His presence doesn’t mean we won’t face storms—but it means we are never alone in them.
Faith calls us to trust, even when the winds roar. When we focus more on the storm than the Savior, fear wins. But when we remember who commands the sea, peace comes.
Today, I pray that in every storm I face, Lord, help me to trust that You are near. Strengthen my faith and calm my heart, knowing You are always with me.
