Thursday June 26th: A Rude Awakening

“It is not anyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” who will enter the kingdom of Heaven.”

Matthew 7:21-29

Mirror Mirror on the wall
Will my house stand, or will it fall?

I know my Bible
I real pray
and go to church every single day
Is daily Rosary, Novena, and pilgrimage to Holy sites
I does pay plenty plenty tithes.

I know Faddas Dis and Dat
I have dey number,
And they have me on Snapchat!
I speak in tongues, prophesy and lay hands on ppl in prayer
I is a good good Catholic Christian yuh hear?

But…..

Mirror mirror on the wall
Does God reflect in me at all?
Am I genuine or a good counterfeit,
Full of selfish pride and deceit
Does God see me as I see me?
Or am I fooling myself and everybody?

We toot our horns
We our beat our chests
And think we’re better than the rest
But friends, on that fateful day
when we meet Jesus face to face
And say Lord, Lord,
Ent You know Me?
I pray His open arms we see
And not hear the words ” Depart from Me.”

Lord Jesus, please help me
To see myself as You see me!
