Saturday June 21st: No Plan B Needed

“Do not worry about tomorrow”

Matthew 6:24-34

“GOD is my Source; I have No plan B.” This is the mantra of Stacey Weekes-Benjamin, the creative powerhouse behind the Diane Carlton label. Forging a path on an international stage, this is the faith that sustains her daily, as she navigates the unpredictable world of high fashion and entrepreneurship.

I am reminded of these words as I hear Jesus Christ, the Source, say to us today in Sacred Scripture, “Do not worry, not about your life, not about your body, not about tomorrow.” For anxious, fretful humanity, this is easier said than done, yet God himself is saying to us, ‘Trust Me, I’ve got you. You are worth everything to me.’ What other assurance do we need?

St. Padre Pio too reminds us, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God’s heart.” So, sons and daughters of a Big God, why worry when you can pray? Oh Jesus, I surrender myself to you; take care of everything.
