What can make us salty again?
Matthew 5:13-16
When we are truly bringing out our essence as ‘salt’ of the earth, as who God made us to be, we manifest all the attributes of light. We stand out among the crowd, stand up for what we know is right. We shine for all to see, as attractors to Jesus. We dispel darkness and hold on to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We lead the way to righteousness, to love, to God. We bring others to Jesus and to the intimacy to which He is calling us. We are welcoming, warm, comforting, as a light in the window, beckoning all to come to the safety and security that Jesus offers. As light, we signal to others, the possibility of danger, lest they run aground.
But when we get ‘tasteless’ what can make us salty again? The wonderful message of Easter is…Jesus can!!!! Through the power of His resurrection, Jesus can make us salty again, so that others can be saved and give the praise to our Father in Heaven.
