“Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.”
John 15:9-11
Do we remember how we behaved when we were lost and how people responded? How many really looked for us? We are thrilled to know Jesus and experience His unexplainable and transformative love. Joy fills our soul! The woman in this text, rejoiced when she found her lost coin. But, prior to that, she diligently, eagerly, carefully, and persistently searched for it. So too, our Lord, relentlessly pursues those who have strayed.
God wants every soul to be saved and to be reconciled with Him.
The woman’s joy in finding a lost coin mirrors the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. Remember, we do not belong to ourselves, we belong to God. Blessings and restoration come through faith. The woman did not
give up and in doing so, she found her lost coin! Rest assured, our loving Father will never give up on us. Anything other than Jesus will send us backwards.
Brothers and sisters, prepare for your homecoming celebration, in this JUBILEE YEAR. We are His hands, feet and mouthpiece. Can we be found? Salvation is freedom from sin.
