‘Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.’
John 14: 6-14
It is common knowledge that children not only look like their parents but often are similar to them in many ways. We have often heard the expression, ‘He’s a chip of the old block.’
This is what Jesus is telling us when he says: I am in the Father and the Father is in me. He is saying that he has all the qualities of the Father and instructs us to believe him. We know then that both are so close that anything we ask for in his name it will be granted by His Father.
We too are children of the Father for we all address God as ‘Our Father.’ What then are the similarities we have with Our Father? We must realize that we have love, humility, mercy, forgiveness, and several qualities that we can display. To be a true child of God and a brother or sister of Jesus we must display these qualities.
