On Easter Sunday, April 20, 11 young parishioners of Gran Couva-Tabaquite parish got food for their souls when they received their First Holy Communion at St Barthlomew’s RC Church, Flanagin Town.
Parish priest, Fr Simon Peter Ango and catechists, Debbie Martin-Arneaud and Giselle Mason—who nurtured the children’s faith and their understanding of it—were joined by parents, godparents, veteran believers and novices to celebrate this joyous occasion.
During Holy Mass, the children read with confidence, sang the Responsorial Psalm, joined by the choir, who beat drums and strummed guitars. They all sang with conviction on that Resurrection morning and made God dance!
