Tuesday April 22nd: Lord, where are you?

“They have taken my Lord away,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”

John 20:11-18

Many times, throughout our Lenten fast, we may have experienced moments of uncertainty like Mary Magdalene did today. We may have been searching frantically for answers as we felt the days running out on us.

What are you teaching me, Lord?
Lord, where are you?
Where are you leading me, Lord?

We never have the full picture all at once; our limited human understanding will never grasp the mysteries of our God. Our clarity gradually unfolds as we continue our journeys. It is in this journey we are blessed to have personal encounters with Jesus, experiences which deepen our faith. See, our souls long for the resurrected Christ and he desires complete union with us.

Let us pray for the grace of final perseverance. May we never stop seeking him, may we continue to grow in faith while we joyfully share with others the good news of our Lord.
