Easter Sunday
“When Mary of Magdala came to the tomb, she saw that the stone had been moved away.”
John 20:1-9
We at the empty tomb. The pilgrimage of hope start here. Let we run, run with Mary, and declare with a sense of urgency: He not there. The tomb empty. Stone rolled away. He risen just as He did say!
His words are now etched in we brain. “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.” We realize that the pain, the agony, was a prelude to victory. Victory over sin and death! Victory over hopelessness!
Today we, with the whole cosmos, belt out a thousand Alleluias in chorus! Christ is indeed risen; and for all, new life has won. The trill of birds fill the air, freshness in the atmosphere. Glorious colours, pink and yellow of the poui, visible all over T&T, testify that the tomb empty! No room for doom or gloom but Christ, our hope of glory!
Yes! Pilgrims of Hope we are, sharing good news near and far. Our lives must always reflect the joy of the season. And if anybody asks why, the empty tomb is the reason!
