Sunday March 30th: Sin Paralyzes

“While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

John 9:1-41

Like this man born blind from birth; I too have been blinded from birth.

I was born into a non-Christian family where some customs were practices of darkness. I grew up in darkness and did not know that I was blind. I did not know that there was someone in the world who was the Light of the World.

Then I became gravely ill and on my sick bed I encountered the Light but, being surrounded by darkness, I was cautious and doubtful.

The darkness keeps us doubtful but when light breaks through there is no stopping it. It shines through, giving life and new birth to every area of our lives. It just cannot be stopped even if you try to resist or stifle it; there is no holding back. The light seduces you and eventually it wins as it permeates the darkness and everything is made clear.
