Let go and let God – a very common, well represented, tried and tested expression, that gives us the consent, confidence and conviction to begin the full surrender experience.
Consent within ourselves, because God has already equipped us with the permission, through His love and abiding in His grace and promises.
Confidence within ourselves, because each time we see and experience the blessings and the bountiful love He rewards us with, we already know that God is love!
Conviction within ourselves, because with each moment of reward which might come in many forms, we get another opportunity to testify of His mercies and love.
So, what then gives us the agency to be free in our minds and the clarity to be living proof of His love?
Psalm 91:1-2 is one of the most obvious reminders of how we can rest assured in His love, guidance, refuge and protection at all times and if that is not enough proof of His love for us, we can reference Psalm 4:8 and His wonders of resting in His promise of safety
In this moment, a great opportunity exists for us to call to mind, occasions when surrendering has allowed us to have an outcome that we can speak of as a testimony and begin to draw from our many experiences of being living proof.
Here’s a challenge for us to practice together as we traverse the depts of our faith in His love for us and draw deeper from our personal experiences, even the smallest ones will matter, as there is merit in these blessings – big or small.
And as you do this and welcome surrender into your daily activities, there will be more blessings underway – trust in Him.
