Saturday March 22nd: Welcome back!

Celebrate when the lost in our lives are found.

Luke 15: 1-3, 11-32

Who among us has never been lost at some point or another. If we are honest with ourselves we can call to mind a time or two where we may have been “prodigal” with our proverbial inheritances along the way. Some of us, even today, may be battling with attachments which keep us from being truly contrite. Perhaps, we may have a prodigal family member or friend who deep down inside may feel unworthy of forgiveness.

As we forge on in the ‘Greatest Fast’, let us remember that where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more (Rom 5:20) and as our Father in heaven is merciful and kind, so too should we extend those graces to others.

Let today’s Gospel become an invitation to celebrate when the lost in our lives are found and let us pray for the healing needed to be able to seek the forgiveness we need to be fully united with Christ.
