SVP Secretariat burgled

The Secretariat of the Trinidad and Tobago Society of St Vincent de Paul, 163 Belmont Circular Road, was broken into and items stolen. Staff found the office in disarray when they went to work on Friday, March 7.

Laptops, phones, printers, a 50-inch television and a kettle were taken. There was no money on site. The perpetrator/s gained entry through the kitchen at the back of the building.

SVP National President Nigel Phillip said police from the Belmont Station visited Monday, March 10 and are investigating. The burglary is a setback as the Society depends on fundraising for its subsistence, however Phillip said, “We have to continue to do the work we have to do”.

Anyone willing to assist the SVP in replacing office equipment can contact Phillip at 729-5818 or Glen Holder 687-5320.
