Saturday March 8th: Bloom Where You are Planted

That Personal Invitation….

Luke 5:27-32

Jesus noticed Levi and called him to Himself. Levi’s response was immediate. He was ready. He left everything and got up and followed Jesus in a great act of trust and faith. He did not know what his future would entail but there was something about the man Jesus and his personal invitation. The impact of Jesus’ presence in Levi’s life caused him to want all his friends and workmates to meet Jesus.
Is this our response to Jesus’ call on our life or do we separate our ‘church’ self from our ‘work’ self. Do we want our workmates to meet Jesus or are we like the Scribes and Pharisees who think some people are not fit to be at table with Jesus because, to us, they don’t belong?
Let us too, like Levi, reach out to those not already converted, those who may not know Jesus. Let us tell them about that personal invitation that is open to them and that will change their lives. Let us bloom where we are planted!
