Suburban Vicariate First Communion candidates visit sacred site

On Saturday, February 8, First Communion candidates from the Suburban Vicariate: Our Lady of Fatima, Curepe; St Joseph, and St Charles Borromeo, Tunapuna Parishes, and St Xavier’s Private School, St Joseph, gathered at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Curepe for a day of prayer and excitement.

The day’s events consisted of:

• Holy Rosary for the Pope’s Intentions, lead by Saskia Lee Foon (First Communion catechist)
• Holy Mass, celebrated by Msgr Esau Joseph, which the Fatima Confirmation group also attended
• Break: passports stamped by Hospitality Ministers and a brief tour of the campus
• Interactive discussion on the topic: ‘Jubilee Year and Indulgences’, by Heather Thomas
• Final tour and passport stamping session.

Attendees agreed that it was a wonderful experience for all, children and their parents/caregivers.
