“…and all who touched Him were healed.”
Mark 6: 53-56
The power of Jesus to heal is immeasurable.
The people who crowded around Jesus and rushed to Him at Gennesaret, bringing their sick to him, were sure of that. So they reached out to Him, begging, with unwavering faith, to touch His cloak and all were healed. They all experienced, not only physical healing, but also spiritual healing.
When we exercise faith in reaching out to Jesus, then the extent of the healing we receive is unfathomable. We are healed, not only physically, but also spiritually. But too many of us are not aware of the depth of our healing and, while we are healed physically, we remain stagnant in our faith. Let us also learn to run to the Lord for the spiritual healing that our souls so desperately need. We can do so in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Let us pray to live our renewed lives in demonstration of Jesus’ Divine Healing Power deeply rooted within us, because we have received His complete Healing Love.
