Conversion of St Paul, Apostle.
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved.”
Mark 16:15-18.
God’s instruction is precise. He is omnipotent, having unlimited power.
Beloveds, we may have the tools, but God alone has the power.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved. This is reassurance that though
hard times will come, it will pass away. There is nothing the word of God
cannot do.
Jesus states, unequivocally, that those who don’t believe will be
condemned. He first loved us and wants to give us more than we can
imagine, not the life we hold on to that does not lead us to Paradise.
Beloveds, on our deathbed, let us not say, “This is how I lived but this is
how it could have been.” All the world needs the Gospel. We are called to be witnesses, perform miracles, be healers and cast out demons.
We ought to be grateful that Jesus became like us so we could become like Him. The question is, do we trust and believe in someone or something else, instead of Jesus? May what, and who, we say ‘yes’ to is to God.
