Saturday January 4th: I pray for certainty

I pray for the certainty Andrew and Simon Peter had.

John 1:35-42

Andrew not only believed in Jesus right away, but he was also so certain, he recruited his brother, Simon, immediately. I pray for the certainty Andrew and Simon had.

This Gospel makes me pray for ability to follow Jesus without hesitation. I pray for courage to go out and bring people to Jesus. I would also like to spend time with Jesus. How can I accomplish this?

When I made my New Year’s resolutions, I kept it quite simple. I must get to know Jesus better and spend more time with Him.

I can study the Bible at in-person classes or online.

I recently attended a lecture on St. Luke’s Gospel. I actually learned a great deal that I didn’t know before.

I need to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament especially on First Fridays.

I always admire people from Pentecostal Churches. The first thing they do is invite you to their Church. I have never invited a Non-Catholic to Mass. It is time I started.
