“Only the one who does the will of My Father will enter the kingdom of Heaven”
Mathew 7:21,24-27
This declaration from Jesus is clear that “faith without works is dead”.
What is the will of the Father? Is it keeping the Ten Commandments? Living the Beatitudes? Acting justly and walking humbly with God? These are all road maps to the Heart of the Father.
God desires relationship with us. Unlike the angels who had one moment to choose, God in His Mercy gives each, an individual life to choose and grow in relationship with Him, in anticipation of His intended destination – Heaven.
The Father wills that each of us recognizes His goodness within us after Baptism. That we will choose to love Him of our own volition. In doing so, we will draw souls to Him as they see the glory of God fully alive in us.
God wills that we will love and serve Him in this life, so we will be happy with Him forever in the next.
