Saturday November 30th: Follow me

“And immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him”

Matthew 4:18-22

James was my high school sweetheart. We met in confirmation class. I did real love James. Praying for James like me.

God said,” That is not the one for you!”

Next thing, James in jail in America. (sigh)

I was a good Christian eh, thinking I was doing all God called me to do until he said, No to me and James.

Then I decided to surrender to God’s will for my life. A few months later, I reconnected with Barry; also in my confirmation class. He was my absolute soul mate! How did I miss this?
I missed it because I did not trust God for the hard things. What if I had done like the early disciples and immediately follow Jesus, it would not have taken me 10 years to meet Barry.
I pray today that we say yes to God when he makes a call on our lives. Amen.
